I’m a 20-something student and a teacher and I lead a life that’s both hugely exciting and wholly boring at the same time. I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta and I’ve just moved back after about three years of living in BC and the USA and travelling throughout Europe.

I love physical activity and try to sweat every day. I am particularly involved in running, bikram yoga, swimming, roller-blading, and soccer… as well as regular gym-going.

I love food, and am mostly interested in all-natural and healthy foods. Although I also tend to stray and indulge; particularly when it comes to suger; I have a crazy sweet tooth.

I love reading and writing. I will pretty much read anything that I can get my hands on and I will write anytime there’s a computer screen or a pen and paper handy. I write a lot of fiction and non-fiction short stories as well as larger and smaller projects.

I love crafting. I have a special craft basket and an entire section of my condo dedicated soley to my love of all things craft-related. This includes sewing, scrapbooking, and other various endeavours. From wine cork corkboards, to detailed diagrams of each piece of my clothing to help me decide what to wear each day, to a quilt made entirely of old t-shirts, you name it; I’ll craft it.

I love people. Particularly my family and friends. I’m happiest when I’m surrounded by the people I love; eating, drinking, laughing, and having a wonderful time. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about them and hearing their stories. I love connecting with people, which is likely why I’ve decided to become a teacher. And I love sharing my own stories with people, which is likely why I love writing.

I love having a good time. I’m not going to lie; I party. I believe in working hard and playing hard. And believe me, I work very hard and deserve my playing hard in return. Essentially, I believe in a balance; I exercise and eat right the majority of the time so that I can drink beer and eat pizza and dessert.

I love pop culture. Films, television, magazines, books, etc. I love it all. During my first undergrad degree, I took several pop culture, film, and media courses. Not to mention all the English courses which were obviously required in getting a B.A. in English Lit. I want to eventually get my Masters in Media and Communication.
